Lawrence "Larry" James Bowman of Lykens, Pennsylvania passed away on February 27, 2024. He was 76 years old. Born in Lykens, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of James and Dorothy Bowman (nee Faust).
Larry was a commercial diesel mechanical for 40+ plus years. He enjoyed working on anything with an engine and took great pride in restoring his 1981 Corvette. He spent much of his time during his retirement caring for and enjoying his dogs named Lady, Mercedes and Sparkles. Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren whenever he could.
He is survived by his sons, Patrick and Matthew Bowman; grandchildren, Nathaniel Bowman, PO2 Nicholas Bowman, USN, Christine Kuhn (nee Bowman), Alex Kuhn, Natalie Bowman, Henry Bowman, Linkin Bowman and Keaton Bowman; siblings, Dennis Bowman and Carol Deiter (nee Bowman).
Interment with United States Air Force military honors will be at 9:30AM on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, Pennsylvania. Family and friends attending will need to arrive at the funeral assembly point at the cemetery office at 9:00AM.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be sent to Fort Indiantown Gap or Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA.
