Leonard Gineitis Obituary

Leonard Paul Gineitis of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday evening, March 2, 2021.  He was 74 years old.  Born in Hanover, Germany, he was the son of Henrikas Gineitis and Marija Peciulyte Gineitis.
He was the beloved husband of Linda Ann Gineitis; father of Deana Standen (Michael, Jr.), Kristina Saville (Blake) and Alex Gineitis (Samuel Giunta); grandfather of Delaney Standen, Tripp Standen, and Anya Saville; brother of Algi Gineitis and sister of Aldona Charlton.
Lenny loved life.  He had many passions that resulted in huge achievements.  He won two gold medals from his time as an Olympian playing basketball for Lithuania.  He achieved great success in the business world as a high-level executive.  Later, he worked with special needs children.  Lenny was so caring and genuine; he truly loved the Lord. When he retired, he found a community he loved at Calvary Chapel.  Lenny got so much joy from participating in various bible studies and prayer groups.  He loved meeting with his bible study group at Wegman's every week and eventually moved the group meetings to his own garage (a group he fondly referred to as "the garage warriors").  Lenny had such a huge impact on his community in every way.  He was the greatest husband and father to his family.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren Delaney, Tripp, and Anya. He equally loved his furry friends Howie, Kramer, Stella, Martin, Patrick, and Cosette. Always a coach, always ready with a hilarious (and intentional) mispronunciation of common words. He loved to make everyone laugh.  He pushed his family to be their best selves.
The family will miss him and were so lucky to know him. And while their pain is profound, they rejoice in knowing that his suffering is over.  Lenny is with Christ.  His family will live on with their fond memories and hope that the way they carry on in living, will lead them to seeing him again.
Lenny G, the man, the myth, the legend.  He will be missed forever.
