Lorenzo "Sonny" Maddalozzo

Lorenzo "Sonny" Rovatore Maddalozzo passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, October 26, 2023.  He was 76 years old.  Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late Lorenzo Maddalozzo and the late Bertha Maude Turner Maddalozzo.

Sonny was the beloved husband of Laraine Joan Malchione Maddalozzo for 56 years; cherished father of Kimberly Maddalozzo Bigler (Jonathan) and Stefanie Maddalozzo Amato (Justin); adored Pop-Pop of Robert (Robbie) Bigler, Fina Amato and Ryleigh Amato; eldest brother of Anthony Maddalozzo, Robert Maddalozzo, Ronald Maddalozzo and Anna Marie Thompson.

Sonny honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Following his discharge, Sonny began 24 years of dedicated service as a corrections officer at the Chester County Prison.  He retired in 2009.  Sonny was a valued member of the Southern Chester County Sportsman's & Farmers' Club, where he enjoyed friendship, sport and taking care of the property.  A quiet and simple gentleman, Sonny loved his family.  As the oldest brother of the five children, Sonny was patriarch and loved them dearly.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and always doting over the grandchildren.  Most of all, he was a cherished husband and partner to his beloved, Loraine.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Per Sonny's wishes, services will be held privately by his family.
