Marion Olive Roberts

Marion Olive Roberts, formerly of Newark, Delaware, passed away on Sunday evening, February 23, 2025 at Rockland Place in Wilmington.  She was 99 years old.  Born in Cinderford, England on September 26, 1925, she was the daughter of Herbert and Alice Wicks.

She was the beloved wife for 72 years of the late Griffith Lloyd Roberts, Jr. who passed away in 2017.  Marion was the mother of the late Wayne G. Roberts (Wendy), Harold E. Roberts (Laura Boeckel), Donna J. Roberts (Steve Michnuk) and Darlene M. Maynes (Thomas); grandmother of David Roberts (Jennifer), Melissa Hamorick, Jeffrey Roberts, Michele Izbiansky, Anastasia McKnight, Laura Shan (Joe) and Ryan Maynes (Erin McMail); great-grandmother of Travis Roberts, Tiffany Roberts, Ashley Hamorick (Anthony Tinoco), Christopher Hamorick, Maya McConnell, Michael Oxford, Gabrielle Maynes, Ava McKnight, Kendall McKnight, Joseph Shan, Maximus Shan, Brody Shan, and Arwen Maynes; great-great grandmother of Noah Tinoco, Brett Hart, and Everly Tinoco. 

She was predeceased by her siblings Freda Weaving, Harold Wicks, and Jean Byett.

A committal service will be at 1:00PM on Friday, March 28, 2025 at DELAWARE VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETERY, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701.
