Martha Donio Obituary

DONIO – Martha Joan, age 81, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 21, 2021 after a lengthy illness.  Born on April 12, 1940 in Jenners, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Joseph and Dominica (Calderone) Donio.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph and sister, Antoinette Shadron.

Martha is survived by her sisters, Mary Jane Canonico of Kennett Square and Nancy Lee married to Kenneth Gowarty of Jenners.  She is also survived by a niece, a nephew and many aunts, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Martha enjoyed watching I Love Lucy and The Three Stooges on television. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together.  She loved her purple nail polish and many varieties of perfume.  For 28 years, Martha attended Handi-Crafters in Coatesville, PA where she made shoe box kits for service men. She was always so happy bringing home her paycheck of 14 cents every Friday and proudly giving it to her mom. We will all miss her very much.
