Matthew A. Treese

Matthew A. Treese of Cochranville, Pennsylvania passed away at his home on Monday, December 16, 2024.  He was 84 years old.  Born in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Andrew Matthew Treese and Agnes Shivetts Treese.

He was the beloved husband of Loretta Ortalli Treese for 45 years; brother of the late John Treese, Thomas Treese, Gloria Treese, Carol Kodack, Mary Ellen Treese, Andrew Treese, the late Michael Treese, George Treese and Joseph Treese.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be from 11:00AM until 12:00PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.

A viewing will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at MOTHER CABRINI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 N. Shamokin Street, Shamokin, Pennsylvania.  Burial with United States Army honors will follow the Funeral Mass in St. Mary Slovak Cemetery, Coal Township.
