Patricia Malloy

December 24, 1954

Obituary

Patricia Malloy of Kennett Square, PA, a kind loving soul, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on July 24 at the age of 67 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Patty was born on December 24, 1954 to Patrick John Parisi and Mary Frances Lauria of West New York, NJ. Patty had 2 sisters, MaryAnne and Angela.  Patty’s early years were spent in Bergen County, New Jersey before moving to Piscataway, New Jersey in 1981. Patty spent decades in retail pharmacy, running several drugstore chains as a store manager. In 2013, Patty moved to Kennett Square, PA, where she was caregiver for her grandchildren, while also volunteering at the Senior Center.

Patty met her first husband, Richard Malloy in 1970 when they were classmates in West New York, New Jersey.  They married in 1972 and had three children: Richard, William, and Daniel.  After the two divorced in 2010, Patty met Henry Halama, the love of her life, marrying April 17, 2022.

Patty was passionate about her friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed keeping things light and jovial.  She could see the bright side of any situation.  Her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren were the center of her universe.  They were her reason, as she would say.   Patty enjoyed taking lots of walks, meeting neighbors and shop owners.  She enjoyed knitting and baking and was passionate about her Italian dishes, especially eggplant rollatini.

Patty is survived by her three children Richard (50), William (47), and Daniel (45) and their spouses, Beth, Stephanie, and Kelly. 7 Grandchildren Gwen, Megan, Luke, Maya, Max, Lauren, Hailey.  2 Nieces Angela Santos Cantaldi and Judy Santos.
