Patricia Ann Pappas

January 26, 1942

Obituary

Patricia Ann Pappas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, peacefully entered her eternal home on the morning of November 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on January 26,1942 to Frank and Sara Magee in Philadelphia, PA. She had one adored younger brother, Frank Magee, who predeceased her.

She met Ronald Michael Pappas, who she referred to as “the finest gentleman,” and they married on October 7, 1961. Over 64 years, they grew up together and shared a great love. They raised 5 children and have been blessed with 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Kennett Square has been their home and community for the past 28 years. Pat has been a devoted and faithful parishioner and servant of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother.

Pat, “Mom”,“Mimi” was the center of our large family’s solar system. She was a master storyteller, family events coordinator, lifelong learner and avid reader. Her recollection of details astounded everyone. She was our memory keeper. Pat also had a love for decorating and design, and created beautiful things with her seamstress skills.

Pat and Ron were the consummate hosts and loved to entertain family and friends. Their home was THE hub for gatherings — the more the merrier, incredible feasts, endless laughter and love.

The thing that truly made her heart sing was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She selflessly cared for and played with them, created their adorable nicknames, and prayed daily for all of them. She could recount every one of their childhood milestones, achievements, and ailments with vivid detail – better than their own parents.

She is survived by her loving husband Ron; their five children, Donna (Roger) Dougherty, Michael (Joan) Pappas, Jill Mullen, Scott (Julie) Pappas, and Tracey (Domenick) Vitale; 11 grandchildren, Devon, Kelsea, Paige, Matthew, Jack, Luke, Bailey, Benjamin, Mackenzie, Nicholas and Camryn; and two great grandchildren, Annie and Baker.

What a family that has come from this woman! She leaves a hole that will never be filled. Soar on wings like eagles, Mimi!
