Paul "Stanley" J. Kent, Sr. of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania passed away at home on Wednesday evening, February 28, 2024. He was 84 years old. Born in Upper Darby, Delaware County, he was the son of the late John and Catherine Kent.
Stanley retired after many years as a tractor mechanic. He loved to fix and build things for everyone. He enjoyed his hoagies, 50's music, Elvis, his car, "babycakes" and spending time at the "beach" or Cape May with his family, especially with his grandchildren. From his youth days in Upper Darby, he was known to say over the years, "once a Creeker, always a Creeker"! He will be missed by all who knew him and especially by his dog, Maggie.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Kelso Kent; father of Donna Marchand (Rick), Paul Kent (Brett Wilson) and Trish Kent-Allen (Mark); Pop-Pop of Thomas Marchand, Michael Marchand (Brittany), Christopher Marchand (Stephanie), Elizabeth McNabb (Justin), Tyler Allen and Corey Allen. Also survived by 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, William Kent, Joseph Kent, Harry Kent, Robert Kent, John Kent, Catherine Machemer and Betty Collins.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Monday, March 4, 2024 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 203 Church Road, Oxford, PA.
