Philip Gross, Jr. of Unionville, Pennsylvania passed away on January 7, 2023 at the Chester County Hospital. He was 80 years old. Born in Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Philip Gross, Sr. and Grace Smith Gross.
Following high school graduation and achieving Eagle Scout, Philip honorably served in the United States Army and was discharged as a sergeant. Following his college graduation, Philip began his 45 year working career at DuPont as a Chemical Engineer. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, Ryan and Dylan. They gave him such great joy. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend. He loved his family and was thankful to the Lord Jesus for all the blessings bestowed upon his life. He prayed for everyone to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. He lived his life according to scripture that he had placed on his gravestone years ago, “the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins” {1 John 1:7}. He lived a happy and blessed life. He will be missed by all he touched.
Per Philip’s wishes, his burial will be private.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made to Sunday Breakfast Mission, where he volunteered.
