Richard Baskin Obituary

Richard (Dick) Thomas Baskin, Sr., of West Grove, Pennsylvania peacefully passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022.  He was 92 years old.  Born in Freeland, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Curtis LeRoy Baskin and the late Ruth Naomi Davis Baskin.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sally (Schoffstall) Baskin, and his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Dick lived in Easton, Pennsylvania for many years working as a Trust Officer and Member of the Board at Easton National Bank and Trust Company (ENBT). After leaving ENBT he purchased The Carmelcorn Shop, the classic candy store in downtown Easton, and spent many happy years as the owner serving the community chocolate covered strawberries and carmelcorn, for which it was famous. Dick and Sally then enjoyed his retirement in Vero Beach, FL, before moving back to PA to be closer to family.

It was Dick's wish to be remembered without any services. The family asks that anyone who wishes, to raise a toast and remember the times you spent with him throughout his very long life.
