Ruby H. Suits

June 16, 1930 – March 15, 2025

Ruby Suits (Aunt Boots), 94, died peacefully on March 15, 2025.

She was born June 16, 1930, in Rolfe, West Virginia, the eighth of nine children of David and Laura Sheets. She was married to Roy G Suits for 69 years until his passing in 2020.  They had one son, Roy D. Suits (RD).  They lived in Landenberg. Pa for more than 40 years. Ruby had a long career, working at J.J. Newberry Department Store in Kennett Square.

They retired and moved to Chilhowie, Virginia in 1996, where they remained until Roy’s passing in 2020.  She then relocated back to Pennsylvania and lived the last 5 years at the Brandywine Living at Longwood community in Kennett Square.

Ruby’s greatest joy in life was her son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The walls of her home were covered with pictures, and she always looked forward to visiting with them and watching them grow.

She was the final surviving member of her large family. She is survived by her son Roy D. Suits and his wife Carol, her grandchildren Jeff Suits, Amy Bennett and her husband Matt, and Jaime Ingargiola and her husband Lou, and four great grandchildren, Eliana and Lainey Bennett, and Chace and Caden Ingargiola.
