Sandra Elaine Powers of Avondale, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Christiana Care.  She was 49 years old.  Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of David E. Caldwell and Jannett Pennington Caldwell.

She was the beloved wife of the late David Jeffery Powers (d.1999); mother of David Paul Powers and Elizabeth Marie Powers; sister of Pauletta Caldwell and Terri Stinson; grand-daughter of Mattie Pennington and Irene Caldwell; aunt of Jessica Stinson and Vincent Powers; niece of Ephraim Pennington, Gary Pennington, Paul Pennington, Curtis Pennington, Regina Pennington, Theodore Caldwell, Jerome Caldwell and Janet Warram; sister-in-law of Dale Powers.

Sandra was as a secretary for Wilkinson Builders and worked for Giant Foods as a cashier.  Most of all, she LOVED to dance.

A funeral service will be offered at 11:00AM on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania 19348.  Visitation with the family will be from 9:30AM until 11:00AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Auburn Regular Baptist Cemetery, 500 Auburn Road, Landenberg.
