Sherry Chester Crowley passed away at her home on Thursday, April 8, 2021. She was 69 years old.
Born in Exeter, New Hampshire on January 19, 1952, Sherry was the daughter of Charles Heinrichs and Dorothy Canizares Heinrichs.
Sherry grew up in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was the oldest and only sister to her three younger brothers. She attended Coopertown Elementary School, Haverford High School and Hillsdale College. Sherry worked for over 35 years for the Society of Financial Service Professionals where her most recent position was Director of Educational Programs. Sherry was an avid reader and especially enjoyed books about Southern culture and Appalachia. She kept educated about current events and regularly enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed attending Phillies games and watching them and the Eagles on TV. She developed a love for the woods/outdoors and hiking as a child. Sherry exercised regularly which included weightlifting classes and enjoyed taking long walks/hikes and challenging herself. One of her greatest loves was going on vacations but enjoyed planning them just as much. She was a true explorer and her passion for the ocean and the desert took her and her husband, Mike on many wonderful adventures together. Some of her favorite places to visit were Sanibel Florida, Charleston, S.C. Tucson, Arizona and Hawaii. She loved cruises where she fearlessly snorkeled, collected shells, sea glass and biked. She particularly enjoyed hiking deep into the remote areas of national parks such as Zion/ Death Valley/Grand Canyon/Saguaro /Canyonlands/Arches and the spectacular Napali coastline of Kauai, Hawaii to name a few. Sherry loved dancing and singing to 60’s music and knew every word to every song. She also enjoyed concerts, Blues, and in particular The Animals, Four Tops, Righteous Brothers, Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Aerosmith. She loved life, especially activities with her husband, children, grandchildren, many friends and Hillingham Circle neighbors. She had keen appreciation for the small things in life and had great curiosity. She was beautiful inside and out and kind to everyone she encountered, greeting all with her wonderful warm captivating smile.
Sherry was the beloved wife of Michael Crowley; mother of Corinne Olintz (Steve), Brian Chester (April), Kevin Chester and Gina Knox; grandmother of Jake and Ellie Chester, Karoline and Chase Olintz and Elijah Knox and Xavier Knox; sister of Chuck Heinrichs, Jay Heinrichs and John Heinrichs.
