Susan Troyan Obituary

Susan Piccinotti Troyan of Cochranville, Pennsylvania and formerly of Folsom, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Chester County Hospital.  Sue was 69 years old.

The daughter of the late Jack Piccinotti and the late Virgileen Ulmet Piccinotti, Sue was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Troyan.  She is survived by her adoring children, Thomas Artyom (Hannah) and Lilianna (Christian) and Riley Nixon, her grandson, and the apple of her eye.  Also surviving are her brother, Daniel Piccinotti (Connie) and sister, Christine Transue (David).

A proud graduate of Ridley High School, Class of 1971, Sue graduated from the Widener-Crozer Radiologic Technology program and worked at Thomas Jefferson Hospital for many years, always bringing a smile and her practical way of caring for patients.

Talented at sewing, Sue was involved at Chicks with Sticks knitting group at Community of Love Lutheran Church where she and Tom were members for many years.  Her crowning achievement as a seamstress was making her sister, Christine’s wedding gown, as a gift of love.

Heavily involved with both the Girls Scouts and Boys Scouts of America, Sue believed in the mission of scouting and the positive impact it made on young lives.

She and Tom enjoyed going out to eat and hopping in the car to go down the shore at one of the Jersey beaches.  A devoted gardener, Sue also was an avid reader.

Surrounded by family in her final days, Sue is now with her Lord and Savior.
