Thomas Muchanic Obituary

Thomas M. Muchanic, age 89, of West Grove, PA passed away on September 18, 2020 at Christiana Hospital, DE.  He shared 41 years of love and happiness with his wife Susan (Mazur) Muchanic.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Mary (McNulty) Muchanic.   The youngest of seven, Tom was predeceased by his siblings: John, Marion, Grace, Robert, Eileen, and Richard.  He was also predeceased by his first wife, Mary Lou (Moriarty) Muchanic.

Tom proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as an engineers mate aboard the U.S.S Waxsaw.  He was retired from Shell Oil, Sewaren, NJ after working more than four decades for the company.  At each stop in retirement, Tom and Sue enjoyed their lives together and made lifelong friends.

A humble, affable and generous man of faith and family, Tom touched the lives of many people during his journey here on earth. While he will be sorely missed, his family and friends will always cherish the time they spent with him, the memories he made for them and the love and support he selflessly shared with them.

In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by his daughters, Christine Muchanic and  Sharon Gombar and her husband Tom, along with three grandsons,  Matthew, Daniel and Andrew Gombar. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Joyce Muchanic and Rosemarie Muchanic as well as many nieces and nephews.
