Veronica (Ronnie) M. Haubert of Kennett Square, PA, formerly of Clarks Green, PA, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 3, 2023 at the age of 85.
Born in Manhattan and raised in the Parkchester section of the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Madeleine and William Kilker. Ronnie graduated from Hunter College in New York City and subsequently obtained a Masters of Education from the City College of New York. Ronnie was a teacher and real estate saleswoman, and was the widow of Robert W. Haubert, who died in 2016. The couple was married for 54 years.
Ronnie was a thoughtful and caring mother, wife, sister, grandmother and aunt. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially with her friends from Traditions at Longwood in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Juno Beach, Florida and Clarks Green, Pennsylvania. Ronnie was a life-long learner, avid reader and lover of history, and she always enjoyed a party and traveling.
Ronnie is survived by her son, James M. Haubert and wife, Susan Nickel; her daughter, Katherine E. Heuring and husband, Kevin Heuring; her son, William J. Haubert and wife, Noreen C. Haubert; her sister, Kathy Stetzer and husband, Marty Stetzer; her sister-in-law, Kathy Kilker; her brother-in-law, William Haubert and wife, Jane Haubert; grandchildren, Connor, Graham, Patrick and Brendan Haubert and many other friends and family.
A viewing will be from 8:30AM until 10:00AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30AM at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Patrick Cemetery, North Union Street, Kennett Square.
