Vincent J. Cease of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away at home on Monday, December 8, 2025.  He was 91 years old.  Born in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Vince was the son of the late Vincent Arthur Cease and the late Mae Ethel Stout Cease.

He was the beloved husband of Blanche Vaccaro Cease; father of Kathy Dunn (Ken), Karen Cease, and Michele Hesse (Steve); grandfather of Ryan Dunn, Kyle Dunn, Elizabeth Hart (nee Hesse), Cassandra Gonzalez (nee Hesse) and Alexandra Hesse.

Vince graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1956 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pharmacy. He worked at Crozier hospital, Sacred Heart hospital, and various retail pharmacies for over fifty years.

During his employment at Conoco Oil and the Witco Corporation, he pioneered the creation and manufacture of additives used in all motor oils for detergent aspects. His hard work and dedication led him to be the lead technical director where six patents were attributed/owned by him. 

When Vincent wasn’t spending time with friends and family, he enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling, and watching the Eagles and Phillies play. His love for animals and nature brought him joy.  

Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.  Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery.
