William Paul Weselyk, age 76, of Unionville, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Pennsylvania in 1949, Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, craftsman, and friend. He shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, MaryAnn, whom he loved deeply and faithfully. Together, they built a life grounded in hard work, loyalty, and family.
Bill was a skilled cabinet maker and later a respected general contractor. With his own hands, he built the family home and always took pride in providing for those he loved. Known for his remarkable ability to make and fix anything, Bill was a true craftsman and problem-solver. He was also a machinist and held two patents, a testament to both his creativity and ingenuity.
At just 26 years old, Bill created all of the reproduction furniture — including the desk and chairs — for the Dover State House, an extraordinary achievement that reflected both his exceptional skill and dedication to historical craftsmanship.
Bill was an outstanding person who lived generously, always helping others whenever he could. His kindness, work ethic, and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnn Weselyk; his children, Hattie and her husband Craig, and Chadd and his wife Stephanie; and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Piper, Ainsley, Jackson, and Wyatt, who brought him great joy and pride.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, his skill, his generosity, and the way he loved his family.
A memorial service will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square. Burial will be private.
