I was a friend of Barb's for 25 years. We met when we were neighbors in Kennett Square before we both moved to other neighborhoods. We stayed close over the years as Barb was a true and loyal friend indeed and a constant source of support and inspiration for me. I am touched by the tributes and kind words from her friends and coworkers from the Church of the Good Shepard in Rosemont . She had become active in her volunteer work there in the last couple of years and her work in the thrift shop and creating the beautiful floral arrangements for the church gave her great joy and in her own words to me "were her worship and offering to God." She enjoyed her new friends there and being among all of you. I was comforted to know from some of our discussions that being there and among you had helped renew her relationship and faith in God and Jesus as her Savior.

Barb was a wonderful, neighbor, mother, sister and a friend extraordinaire of a wonderfully giving , generous and caring nature . I among many others, was blessed to know her. We especially bonded over our love of all God's creatures and she helped me rescue and save many dogs over the length of our friendship, several of which she kept and to whom she gave a wonderful and loving home .

Barb, I miss you deeply and so do Bandit and Blackie but I'm sure you know they are both being taken care of and loved as you hoped they would be. Thank you for all you did for all the animals you loved and cared for in your lifetime as well as the people you blessed and helped along your way. I count myself among these.

Rest in peace in God's arms until we meet again over that Rainbow Bridge.

Here are some words from a Praise team song that have been on my mind since you crossed that Bridge. I know Bucko and Caesar were there to greet you !

And on that day when my strength is failing,
the end draws near and my time has come,
still my soul will sing your praise unending,
10,000 years and then forever more.

Bless the Lord Oh my soul,
Oh my soul, worship his holy name.
Sing like never before, Oh my soul.
I worship your holy name, yes I will worship your holy name.

From Matt Redmans's " 10,000 Reasons ( Bless the Lord)"

Love,

Son ( Sonia)

I was honored to know Barbara not only as a neighbor but asa very good friend. We livednext-door to each other in Pond Edge for just about 15 years. She was lovely woman, Master gardener, avid reader, and member of our local Sippers wine club. I will remember her fondly especially that beautiful beautiful white hair of hers. I am sorry to miss her service this Saturday. I will be there in spirit!!!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we find the
promise that God will remove pain and death. For more comfort,
I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)

I only got to know Barb well this past spring and summer and the better acquainted we became the more fond of her I was. She was thoughtful, cheerful, never one to complain, even though in her generosity she had to call up reserves of strength that you wouldn't think she had. I knew her through the Good Shepherd Church, where she will really be missed!

Barbara was a dear friend, a creative and multitalented artist who put beauty and order into everything she touched. I will miss our Saturdays at the thrift shop at the Good Shepherd where we worked and talked and tried to solve the world’s problems.

Barbara you will be greatly missed. God bless and Godspeed. You are now with your creator in heaven.

Barbara was a faithful volunteer at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont. Her flower arrangements for the church were wonderful. We could always recognize their professionally - arranged beauty at the High altar and in the Lady Chapel. Her friendliness and hard work in the Thrift Shop made her a popular and loving friend. We all shall miss her talent, her humor and her humility.Rest in Peace, dear Barbara.
