Our sympathy and prayers to all of the family. Just found out about your Mom today. Always remember what a fun, loving, nice, kind person she was. The picture of her is beautiful, and we see where her daughters got their good looks.
Love and Blessings, Marty and Carol

Every life has a purpose, a purpose which some of us can rarely understand. But Grandmom was a gift from heaven, who I thoughts purpose was to make this world appreciate what affection, laughter, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know she is looking down on us and smiling. Rest in peace Grandmom. I love you! xoxox

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." For more comfort, I turn to the website at:

They say that life is not about the number of breaths you take, but of the moments that take your breath away. On this day, I am proud to say that my grandmother had both of that in her 89 years of existence.
She was one of the few people who I know who had a truly good life. Mom-mom may have gotten very sick near her end, but in our eyes, she has never lost the quiet sort of strength she always had even as she grew old. Hers was the voice that never failed to give us the comfort we needed as well as the best of advice.
A woman of principle and courage, my grandmother was always firm for what she believed in, and it is from her that we have learned to stay strong. But mom-mom was more than just a strong figure. She was also a woman of gentle smiles and a soothing, although shaky, voice. I remember how she used to smile a lot in response to different statements, for she was not a person of many words. I remember too, how she would hum and sing the lines of a favorite song while walking around the house or sitting down beside me; how her voice would falter somewhere in between the high and low keys of the song.
There are so many other things I remember—like the way she loved entertaining for everyone, one of her favorite sweet’s to bake was cobbler, went to my pre-school dressed up as Miss. Piggy, played games’ with all of us grandchildren—all those little things. And it is during this moment that I realize how in the end, what we remember best are not really the grand things, but all the tiny yet necessary bits of a person’s whole.
As much as I would love to go on about all the little things we love about her, I’m afraid there’s only so much that my emotions can handle. I believe it would be suitable to say that having her as my grandmother was one of the best things in my life.
She was and always’ will be my best friend.
While I and my family stand deeply grieved by the loss of one of the pillars in our family, we are also thankful for the chance to have had her. After all, not too many people have had the privilege of knowing someone as remarkable as her. We may have lost her physically now, but we firmly believe, as she also does, that someday our God will reunite us again. And as we eagerly wait for that day, we keep her in our hearts, minds, body and souls, where her memory will live on for as long as we do and just maybe one day we shall meet her loving soul again.
I love you, Mom-mom.
Lauren Ashley DeFeo.

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "come to me."
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
