We were so sad to hear about Phil, who our daughter Sam, knows from his time in Bel Air. We will never forget their laughter as the kids told us stories of their good times hanging out and walking in the woods with Phil and Phineas. May his memory be eternal.

Dear Doty family ,
I am so ,so sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I know that words are a weak and impotent tool that rarely touch grief, but I appreciated sharing time with your son at school. He will be missed . Please accept my deepest condolences.

Dear Rich and Family,

Though I did not have the honor of teaching Phillip, I was able to know your family through my time working with Rich. I come bearing no wise words that will take away your grief, only the assurance that I'm sending you my love and prayers. I hope that some of the happy memories you were able to create as a family provide you with some peace during this difficult time.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. I know Phil has found the peace he had so desperately wanted. "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."

Dear Catherine, David, Richard, and Mia, words cannot express my thoughts and feelings about Phil leaving us so early. It is just unbelievable and I cannot even imagine your sadness you must feel. It seems so unreal. He will always be in my heart, and I will always remember the times we spent together. We spent a wonderful day one on one at Universal Studios. I have so many great memories of him and your whole family. He was such a funny boy, and I will miss him dearly. I am so sad and sorry that I will not be able to attend his service, since I am not in the USA anymore. Please let me know if I can do anything for you. All of you will be in my thoughts. I miss you, Phil!
Love, Diana

Dear Catherine, Dave, Mia and Richie,

I was so very sorry to hear about Phillip. I was always struck by his intelligence, creativity and his humor. I have so many good memories of him playing piano, guitar and having lots of fun with Alex over the years. I took Alex and Phillip to the parade in Philadelphia on Halloween when the Phillies won the World Series with Alex wearing a hot dog costume. It was a great day… we all laughed all day.

Dear David,
I am so crushed by the weight of the news about Phil. Our God has a special place for those like Phil who struggle with a mental illness and lose the battle. He tends to those who are most in need, He is a God of healing and restoration, for the souls he calls home and for the family left behind. You were so generous with allowing Christopher a fresh start with Phil in your beautiful furnished apartment last year. I will always be grateful for your kindness and bounteousness. Our struggle continues; yours has concluded in one way and begun anew in another way. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
